Congratulations to Guenivere Pik-Shim Ngoi, formerly a Crawford Lonehill Grade 12 learner in Johannesburg, for being awarded 8 subject A's, in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Geography, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Music and Advanced Programme Mathematics, at an average of 85,77% in the 2018 IEB final matric examinations.

The member of the Johannesburg Junior Council (JJC) and captain of the swimming first team was awarded her White honours blazer, the highest award that can be bestowed on a Crawford student in recognition of earning Senior Full colours in Academics, Music and Community Outreach.

A Grade 8 pianist and flautist, she has played with the South African National Orchestra in Durban. Guenivere is also passionate about helping people through outreach and volunteer work and has interned at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital.

Inspired by the late Winnie Mandela because "she was a freedom liberator while fighting the Government", her personal motto is "When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine."

Good luck studying medicine at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and becoming a paediatric doctor to help children!

Guenivere's brothers, Anthony Ngoi obtained 10 distinctions in 2014 and Garth Ngoi attained 7 distinctions in 2020.
