The Hong Kong South Africa Chamber of Commerce (HKSACC) is proud to announce the appointment of Angela Yeung as its new President, effective 10 March 2026.

An award-winning entrepreneur, international speaker, Everest summiteer, and founder of the Impilo Collection, Yeung brings a dynamic blend of business leadership, international

relations, and cross-cultural engagement to the Chamber at a pivotal time for Hong Kong– Africa trade relations.

Her appointment signals a renewed vision for the Chamber — one focused on strategic partnerships, investment connectivity, cultural diplomacy, and creating stronger commercial bridges between Hong Kong, Greater China, and Southern Africa.

In 2025, Yeung became one of the few South African women in more than two decades to summit Mount Everest via the North Side route — one of the most technically demanding and dangerous approaches to the mountain. Beyond mountaineering, she is widely recognised for using her platform to advocate for women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and social impact initiatives across South Africa.

Under her leadership, HKSACC aims to strengthen bilateral trade engagement, expand membership value, foster high-level networking opportunities, and create meaningful dialogue between government, business, and industry leaders across both regions.

Speaking on her appointment, Yeung said: “This role is not simply about commerce. It is about building bridges between people, cultures, and opportunities. Hong Kong has long been a gateway between East and West, and South Africa remains one of the continent’s most strategic economic hubs. I look forward to

helping unlock new partnerships that create long-term value for both regions.”

The Board of HKSACC welcomed the appointment and expressed confidence in Yeung’s ability to lead the Chamber into a new era of growth, visibility, and strategic relevance. The Chamber will continue to focus on trade development initiatives, business matchmaking, investment facilitation, industry events, and collaborative opportunities that strengthen economic ties between Hong Kong and South Africa.
