HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL 2020 IEB MATRIC TOP ACHIEVERS – 8 DISTINCTIONS
We congratulate Kristen Loo and Vicky Ying Xian Chen on their outstanding matric results. We are extremely proud of their hard work and dedication and their contribution to Holy Rosary School.
Kristen Loo achieved 8 distinctions in the following subjects: Mathematics (99%), Advanced Programme Mathematics (91%), Physical Sciences (95%), Life Sciences (93%), Life Orientation (92%) Accounting (96%), Afrikaans (95%) and English (89%).
Kristen also ranked within the Top 1% of all IEB candidates in the following subjects: Accounting, Afrikaans, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
Kristen was Holy Rosary's Dux Scholarum in her matric year, having maintained her position of top academic achiever in her grade all through high school. In final matric results, she achieved an extraordinary average of 94.1%.
She is one of the matrics in the IEB Outstanding Achievement cohort who achieved within the Top 5% of IEB matrics in 6 or more of her subjects. Kristen will be studying Medicine at the University of Pretoria.
Vicky Ying Xian Chen took 10 subjects for matric and achieved 8 distinctions in the following subjects: Mandarin (98%), Mathematics (94%), Accounting (80%), Afrikaans 83(%), English (74%), Life Orientation( 82%), Life Sciences (81%), Physical Sciences (80%), Advanced Programme Mathematics (76%) and Vicky also wrote the Trinity College of London Musical Practical grade 7, achieving an incredible 81%. Vicky will be studying Medicine at Wits University.
