Gabriella, Mrs. Ng Shue Chee, Michael, Leanne and Christine Pon are among Chinese families all over the world celebrating the start of the annual Spring Festival on Saturday 25th January 2020 and wishing everyone peace, happiness, good health and prosperity during the Year of the Rat.

Ambassador Lin Songtian, Madame Ni Lingling and Johannesburg Consul General Tang Zhongdong for visiting the senior members of our community residing at Hong Ning Chinese Aged Home in Belgravia on Sunday 19th January 2020, bearing gifts and personally wishing them well for upcoming Spring Festival celebrations.

2020 Chinese New Year Festival

Due to precautionary measures, the Chinatown Johannesburg Community Committee postponed the Chinese New Year Festival (planned for Saturday 1st February 2020 in New Chinatown Cyrildene) until further notice.

WPCA Chinese New Year Lunch

Well done to the Western Province Chinese Association (WPCA) for hosting their annual ‘Chinese New Year Lunch’ on Sunday 2nd February 2020 from 12 pm at the Cape Town Chinese School and Community Centre in Observatory. TCA Chinese New Year & Lantern Festival
