Kensington, Johannesburg.
2. What school/college/university did you attend?
Bedfordview Primary and Edenvale High School.
3. What is your fondest childhood memory, growing up as a Chinese child?
4. What is your favourite Chinese food?
Chau Siu Bao.
5. Where do you live?
Fourways, Johannesburg
6. What work do you do?
I do event security and bodyguarding. I provide security guards for buildings too.
7. What do you love about your job?
Events – I love music, it has got me through good and bad times, I love how there is excitement building up to show day. From when the artist arrives to interviews to feeling the energy of 100,000 people enjoying the performance. It's not a easy job, but it beats a desk job. There is something special about a large group of people gathering together to sing, dance and having a good time, moments like that are priceless.

9. Why are you proud to be South African?
I am proud to be South African as I feel we have a great history where people have united for it to be one of the best countries in the world. I feel I have witnessed huge historical moments that have changed our country for the better.
10. Why are you proud to be Chinese?
I love the martial arts and the homeopathic side of the Asian culture. The Chinese have a history of being ahead of their time when it comes to inventions. I like the art and the mythology side of the Asian culture like dragons and warriors.
11. Name one Chinese tradition that you’d like future generations to continue with?
Lai – see.. everyone loves those gifts!
12. What advice would you give to the Chinese youth today in South Africa?
Stay humble and keep it real.
Don’t cry victim, take responsibility, work hard and be successful and happy.
Keep healthy.
Singing, dancing and laughing is good for the soul.
