  • Rustenburg Girls’ Junior & Rustenburg Girls’ High Schools

  • Art Director’s Workshop

3. What is your fondest childhood memory, growing up as a Chinese child?

  • Going on family road trips to Port Elizabeth to spend Christmas with our extended family.

4. What is your favourite Chinese food?

  • I have so many favourite Chinese foods, but if I had to choose one it would be red pork.

5. Where do you live?

  • Sea Point, Cape Town.

6. What work do you do?

  • I work at an Advertising Agency as a Senior Art Director.

7. What do you love about your job?

  • Creating beautiful things which will have a positive impact on the engager.

8. What is your proudest achievement?

  • Having the honour of judging the D&AD Packaging Awards in London, 2007.

10. Why are you proud to be South African?

  • I’m proud to be part of the multi-culture of South Africa as it allows you to have the best of both worlds – being South African as well as Chinese.

11. Why are you proud to be Chinese?

  • I’m proud to be part of a culture whose traditions date back to ancient times and are still cherished and practiced today.

12. Name one Chinese tradition that you’d like future generations to continue with?

  • Respecting, cherishing and celebrating family.

13. What advice would you give to the Chinese youth today in South Africa?

  • Learn from the Chinese culture and traditions. Learn from the South African culture and traditions. Take the best of both cultures and make it your own.
